DIY: Beach Wedding Centerpiece

Weddings can be really expensive and so if there is a way to cut cost on some of the details of the wedding, then it would be a big savings for the couple. Reception centerpieces can become expensive, so instead of hiring an events stylist to do the table centerpiece for your wedding, why not do it yourself.

If you are having a beach themed wedding, here are some ideas on how to have a DIY beach-themed wedding centerpiece.

1. If you are having a night reception, then you can find some Pyrex or other heat resistant bowls and fill it with water. Add a few drops of coloring, throw in some flowers and then place floating candles in each bowl and voila, you just created a romantic table centerpiece.
2. Instead of using Pyrex, you can use tall clear glass vases and fill it with water and flowers also and just put floating white candles in each vase. When choosing the height of the vase, you have to make sure that the vase is not too tall so the guests in one table can still freely talk to one another without a tall vase in the middle of the table blocking their way.
3. Purchase a glass bubble vase, fill it with white sand, put a handful of shells on top of the sand and then place a white pillar candle in the center of the bubble vase.
4. If you are having a casual beach wedding, why not use children’s plastic sand buckets and fill each bucket halfway with clean sand and put some items that you would normally sea at the beach like a toy shovel, sea shells, starfish, etc. To turn this centerpiece into a more formal one, just add a pillar candle into the center of the sand and surround it with seashells and floral arrangement.

Creating your own centerpieces is one way to show the couple's personality by adding a personal touch to their wedding while saving a little in the process.
